Mövenpick Hotel Apartments The Square Dubai is nestled in the elegant district of Al Mamzar, close to Al Mamzar Beach Park, Deira and Bur Dubai. Located just 10 minutes away from Dubai International Airport with easy access to Sheikh Zayed Road, the hotel is a central choice for business, leisure and long term guests.

The hotel provides 180 comfortable guest rooms as well as one- and two-bedroom serviced hotel apartments, a contemporary all day dining restaurant, rooftop pool , fitness center and four well-appointed meeting venues.

Key responsibilities

To be responsible for the sales and marketing of the hotel and its facilities including accommodation, banqueting, restaurants and recreational facilities.
To sell and market the hotel in line with the hotel's sales strategy to achieve the yearly budget expectation
To oversee all operational aspects of theSales & MarketingDepartment
To supervise the Sales Team in their daily sales activities.
Supervise and monitor sales production and sales activities to achieve planned goals.
To obtain market intelligence for devisingSales & Marketingplans for the hotel.
To develop maximum opportunities to generate sales volume with a view of exceeding Budget expectations for room, all F&B related sales and hotel recreational facilities.
To analyse and evaluate Account production with Sales Managers and implement sales action plans.
To develop and carry-out direct sales activities both on and off property in conjunction with the General Manager, Sales Team maintaining a high level of exposure for the hotel.
To coordinate Sales & Promotional activities for the hotel (Sales Blitzes, Yearly Thank You Party, Fam Trips, Chamber events).
Develop active communication with International Sales Office and other sources of sales information and support.
To complete RFPs
To collect market intelligence on hotel competitors sales activities and promotions.
To work closely and enthusiastically with other Department Heads to ensure teamwork and a smooth and efficient operation of the hotel.
In conjunction with the Revenue Manager, set up and update group selling strategies.
To meet, entertain and coordinate activities and events with clients, guests and industry colleagues. To participate in community and industry activities which may benefit the hotel and the profession and develop necessary relationships both locally and overseas.
To handle client complaints when necessary and make all efforts that hotel guests are made as comfortable and content as possible.
To recommend improvements in hotel operations where there are opportunities of improving service levels, increasing revenues or reducing costs.
Yields all leads prior to the offer letter being sent out.
Develop annual Sales department budget and execute the sales programs and activities within it.
Establishes and cultivates sales contact with top personnel of major accounts.
Solicits and serves group business, conventions, incentives, meetings, tours and special groups from i.e. commercial accounts, associations, travel agents, tour operators, group operators, wholesalers, airlines, government tourist offices and any other source.
To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Department Head from time to time.

Key requirements

Ideal candidate must possess following desired specifications for the role:

Minimum of 2 Years' experience in a reputed 5 Star Hotel/Apartments in a similar role.
Should be well versed with Local Market and Business Trends
Positive attitude and good communication skills
Commitment to deliver a high level of customer service
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules
Demonstrated previous experience in a Sales role with the proven ability to close a sale
A passion for sales and target-based performance
Relevant degree, in sales, business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution
Should have exposure to Opera System
