Job Description

The Podiatrist, working as part of a multidisciplinary team is responsible for assessing, planning and providing medical care to the podiatrist patients and for providing advice to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals.To deliver a professional, high quality focused specialist podiatry service to eligible patients with podiatrist needs. As an autonomous practitioner, be accountable for the care delivered and demonstrate both critical thinking and skill in clinical decision making in the management of patients.

Daily clinical session and administrative process for all out-patient clinics and In-patient treatments.
All administrative work related to continuing expansion and daily operation of the podiatry services
To monitor the effective and efficient daily running of the department, including supplies control and maintenance of equipment
Bio-mechanical assessments and production of orthodontic devices and patient treatments which includes Children's Foot Health, Sports Athletes and Diabetic
Development and review of policy and procedure guidelines for podiatry services.
To assess those patients referred to podiatry and determine their needs to include the running of his or her own daily clinical session which will be divided between out-patient clinics and in-patient treatments.
Undertake diagnostic, screening, monitoring, treatment and educative podiatry service.
Updated/oriented with regards to new treatment available in medical science.
Develop a personal program of self study and professional growth with guidance from the medical staff.
Actively participate in Hospital committees and task forces as assigned by the department head.
Continuously adhere to MEDICLINIC MIDDLE EAST & AL NOOR HOSPITALS GROUP Dress and Grooming Policy for medical professionals.
Adhere to Infection Control and Health and Safety measures.
Be actively involved in the quality improvement activities within the Department.


Preferably Western Trained
Recognised Podiatry Degree (BSc Hons) Clinical Podiatry 4+ Years
HAAD/DHA License holder or have undergone CCT/CCST/American Board Certification

Key Outputs

Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
